Believers’ Boxing Gym is dedicated to training the fundamentals and engaging in the science of boxing through step by step explanation, demonstration, and just plain hard work! You will develop hand-eye coordination, speed, power, stamina and over-all body conditioning. You will work with an experienced fighter and trainer — so no matter your skill level or interest level, Believers’ Boxing Gym will have a place for you!

New Zumba classes right here at Maranatha. Zumba blends traditional dance steps with basic fitness moves so everyone can participate - it’s very easy to follow. Our trainer will be Rachel from Believers Boxing.Where: 24799 Forest Blvd, Forest Lake MN 55025 | Entrance will be at door #15.

Tues. Wed. & Thurs. at 10:00 a.m.
Tues. & Thurs. at 6:30 p.m.
Friday & Sat. at 1:30 p.m.
Summer hours: Tues. & Thurs. 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.

Karate is available on Saturday mornings and Monday evenings. The Forest Lake dojo, as it is called, is an outreach ministry of Maranatha and is part of the International Karate League (IKL). IKL is an international organization that operates under the direction and authority of it’s founder Shihan Walter K. Nishioka. The style of Karate we study can be readily described as a traditional Shorin-Ryu style with modifications from Wado-Ryu and White Crane Crane Kung-fu.
The Forest Lake dojo itself is headed up by Sensei Mark Svenkeson, who is a 5th degree black belt with over 35 years experience in the martial arts. Sensei is assisted by sempai Tim Cote (Shodan Black Belt) and sempai Evan Svenkeson (Shodan Black Belt).
Our dojo meets on Saturday mornings from 9:00 to 11:00 am and on Monday evenings from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Maranatha Assembly of God church in the youth hall (next to believers boxing). Additional information can be found at http://forestlakeikl.wordpress.com
