Troy & Cheryl Scott
Maranatha's own missionaries (The Scott Family) while serving in Thailand on thier first term, felt a burden for the poor unreached villages of the north. With God's leading they felt a clear plan of action take shape. These small villages are plagued by human traffickers who use the dire economic situation of the remote villages for personal gain.
The Scott's will be
sharing the love of Christ through economic and community development to
improve quality of life. (Like drilling wells and helping market
handicrafts). While meeting the physical and educational needs, They plan
to build relationships needed to establish home bible study groups and
churches. By approching this problem in a holistic way, not only
meeting felt needs but meeting spiritual needs. They will work
towards the prevention of the Human trafficking that is using these poor,
uneducated villages as a harvest ground. To follow this ministry or
to give.
