Every Man's Battle For Purity
This 4-Stage strategy for sexual purity is based on a proven 30-week ministry model developed by Pastor ("Sarge") Irv Woolf, of The National Coalition for Purity (www.puritycoalition.org). Maranatha A/G Church has been an active participant since October 2003.
Stage 1: The Battle
The Battle is a large group event in which men (junior high age and older) are called to commit themselves to living sexually pure lives. To find out when a Battle is scheduled in your area, consult www.puritycoalition.org.
Stage 2: March Purity Boot Camps
Purity Boot Camps daily follow-up meetings that are led by trained Purity Lieutenants and meet from 6:00 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. sharp each day! Purity Boot Camp brings men face-to-face with their sexual sins and calls them to count the cost of purity.
Stage 3: March Purity Platoons
Purity Platoons are weekly groups run by trained sergeants. These platoons give men the accountability, tools, encouragement and discipline to gain and maintain lifelong sexual purity. Purity Platoons meet once a week for 16 weeks. Participants need to have first attended "The Battle" and graduated "Boot Camp." Registration for Purity Platoons takes place during the Purity Boot Camp.
Stage 4: Maturity Platoons
Maturity Platoons begin at the end of Stage 3--around the end of June. Maturity Platoons shift the focus from sexual purity to spiritual maturity as men are taught how to be fully devoted, passionate followers of Jesus Christ. Maturity Platoons meet once a week for 12 weeks. Registration for Maturity Platoons takes place during Purity Platoons.
